Answer
Q: If a person who received a survivor’s pension is imprisoned and later becomes eligible to claim the pension again, is a new application required?
A: No. The Bureau of Labor Insurance will automatically resume payment starting from the month in which is receives the relevant information from the law enforcement authorities.

Q: If a person who was receiving a survivor’s pension becomes ineligible and the payment is suspended, but later meets other eligibility criteria, is a new application required?
A: Yes. A new application must be submitted to the Bureau of Labor Insurance. If, upon review, the Bureau confirms that the eligibility requirements are met, the pension payments will be resumed.
