Q: What is an investment agent?
A: An investment agent is a Taiwan resident appointed by a foreign investor to handle investment registration and related government filing and amendment procedures on the investor’s behalf.

Q: Can more than one investment agent be appointed?
A: No. Only one investment agent may be appointed.

Q: Can the investment agent be changed?
A: Yes. The change can be made by submitting a newly notarized Power of Attorney to the relevant authority for approval.

Q: Are there any special notarization requirements for the investment agent Power of Attorney?
A: Yes. The Power of Attorney must be notarized by a local notary public in the investor's country of residence.

Q: Can the investment agent make changes to the company registration without authorization?
A: No. Any registration changes require the relevant shareholder or board resolutions, as well as the required company seals and supporting documents.
