Introduction to Administration of Business Premises Registration in Beijing
In order to continuously optimize the business environment, further effectively utilize business premises resources, and enhance the level of convenience in business entity registration, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality has issued a notice on "Several Provisions on the Administration of Business Premises (Residence) Registration for Business Entities in Beijing", which came into effect on December 2, 2025.

Business entity
Business entities refer to companies, unincorporated business entities, individually owned enterprises, partnerships, specialized farmers' cooperatives, and their branches, individual businesses, branches of foreign companies, as well as other business entities stipulated by laws and administrative regulations, that engage in business activities in Beijing for the purpose of making profits.

Business premises (residence)
Business premises include the residences of companies, non-corporate enterprise legal persons, wholly individually owned enterprises, and specialized farmers' cooperatives legally registered in Beijing, as well as the main business premises of partnership enterprises, individual businesses, and various branches.

Resident Representative Offices of Foreign Enterprises
The registration management of the premises where foreign enterprises' resident representative offices are located shall also be implemented in accordance with "Several Provisions on the Registration Management of Business Premises (Domicile) of Business Entities in Beijing".

Individual businesses
For platform operators who conduct business activities solely through the internet and apply for registration as individual businesses, they may register their internet address as their place of business. If the same operator has two or more internet places of business, all the internet places shall be registered.

Branches
When a business entity in Beijing establishes a branch within the administrative region of Beijing, it can apply to load multiple business premises information onto its business license's enterprise code, which will be available for public inquiry and provide information support for relevant departments in handling approval procedures. There is no need to separately apply for a business license for the branch.
