Maternity benefits are calculated based on the average monthly salary of the employees of the employer where the employee works in the previous year.

Q: What does the social insurance fund include?
A: Social insurance funds include basic old-age insurance funds, basic medical insurance funds, work-related injury insurance funds, unemployment insurance funds and maternity insurance funds. Except for the basic medical insurance fund and the maternity insurance fund which are consolidated for accounting and calculation, other social insurance funds are accounted for separately according to the types of social insurance and are accounted for separately. Social insurance funds follow the unified national accounting system.
