Irbm Introduces Whatsapp Service & New Info Platform In Malaysia
Based on the HASiL Media Release dated 15 January 2026, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“IRBM”) has introduced two new digital services to enhance taxpayer communication and improve access to tax-related information.

Overview of New Digital Services
The new services include an official WhatsApp notification channel and a new information search platform known as Tanya HAFY.
HASiL WhatsApp Service
With the introduction of the official WhatsApp notification, important information can now be conveyed to taxpayers via a one-way communication channel. Taxpayers will receive notifications on tax-related matters, payment reminders, notifications regarding tax arrears and tax compliance. These notifications will be sent to taxpayers whose mobile phone numbers are registered with the IRBM.

Tanya HAFY Information Platform
Tanya HAFY is a new inquiry platform introduced to facilitate access to tax information. This platform replaces the existing Tanya@HKC, which was previously accessible through HASiL’s official portal. Taxpayers can now search for information independently using Tanya HAFY, which provides a more systematic, relevant and efficient self-service experience.
