Question

Taiwan Company – Registered Address

Answer
Q: Is it permissible for a company registered in Taiwan to use a virtual address?
A: Yes, it is permissible; however, it may affect the bank account opening process.

Q: Can a company address be leased after the company registration has been completed?
A: No. At the time of registration, relevant documentation for the registered address must be submitted to the competent authority; therefore, the lease of the company address must be completed prior to registration.

Q: What is a landlord consent for use document?
A: A landlord consent for use document is a statement in which the property owner agrees to allow a company or business entity leasing the premises to register its address at that location.

Q: Must both the lease agreement and the owner’s consent for use document be submitted to the competent authority?
A: No. It is sufficient to provide either one.

Q: Can the lease commencement date of the registered address be later than the company registration date?
A: No. When submitting the registration application to the competent authority, the address must already be valid and available for use.
