Guideline for Farmland Expropriation Insurance Renewal
| Q: | I am an insured under the farmer health insurance. If my enrolled farmland is expropriated, resulting in insufficient land area, may I continue my participation in the insurance? |
| A: |
Yes. Coverage may be renewed for up to three years. However, for those who have reached the age of 65 and have accumulated at least 15 years of insured service, the renewal period is not subject to limitation, and continued participation in the farmer health insurance is permitted. |
| Q: | If the enrolled farmland is expropriated by the government, how can I apply for renewal of coverage? |
| A: |
You should submit the relevant expropriation documents together with identification and land information to the Farmer Association in order to apply for renewal. |
| Q: | Do insured persons who renew their coverage still need to pay insurance premiums? |
| A: |
Yes. |
| Q: | If an insured person, during the renewal period, participates in another social insurance program or engages in full-time employment outside of agriculture, may they continue the renewal? |
| A: |
The insured person must suspend the renewal. Once the cause for suspension has ceased, they may reapply for renewal. |
| Q: | If I install solar panels on my farmland in compliance with the energy policy, will this affect my eligibility for Farmers’ Health Insurance? |
| A: |
During the insured period, if solar panels are installed on the farmland, the farmer may remain insured provided that they are still actually engaged in agricultural production on other farmland apart from the area occupied by the solar facility. |
