Q:
What is a Long Term Visit Pass (“LTVP”)?
A: The LTVP is a type of pass that is issued to certain family members of eligible Employment Pass (“EP”) or S Pass (“SP”) holders for them to stay in Singapore.

Q:
Who is eligible to apply for LTVP for their family members?
A:
You can apply for a LTVP for your family members if you meet these requirements:

1.
Hold an EP or SP;
2. Earn a minimum fixed monthly salary of SGD6,000. This is based on the salary of EP or SP holder, and not based on the work pass holder’s combined household income; and
3. Are sponsored by an established, Singapore-registered company (usually your employer).

Q:
Which type of family members are eligible to LTVP?
A:
You can apply for a LTVP for the following family members:

1.
Common-law spouse;
2. Unmarried handicapped children above 21 years old;
3. Unmarried step-children under 21 years old; and
4. Parents – only for those earning a fixed monthly salary of at least SGD12,000.

Does the company need to pay any levy for the LTVP holder?
A:
No, the company is not required to pay any levy for the LTVP holder.

Q:
How long does it take to process LTVP application?
A:
For LTVP application filed online, it takes up to three (3) weeks for most cases. It may take longer when additional documents are required by the MOM.

Q:
What is the duration of a LTVP?
A:
The duration of the LTVP is up to two (2) years, tied to the validity of the main work pass. The pass can be renewed before the expiry date.
