A:
According to the Measures of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Co-operation Zone Relating to Office Rent Subsidies for Promoting the Return of Enterprises, Qianhai rent subsidy policies will expire on 31 December 2023.

How to calculate the Qianhai rent subsidy period?
A:
The rent subsidy period for office in Qianhai shall be calculated from 1 January 2019. For office leased after that date shall be calculated from the actual lease date.

What kind of office buildings in Qianhai can apply for rent subsidies?
A:
The office buildings in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Co-operation Zone which have obtained acceptance certificate for construction project may apply for rent subsidies. Commercial apartments, premises for commercial use and premises owned by the government or Qianhai authority cannot apply for rent subsidies.

What are the requirements for the tenants in Qianhai to apply for rent subsidies?
A:
The basic requirements for the tenants in Qianhai to apply for rent subsidies include:

  • The company is established legally and has not been listed as abnormal;
  • The company is registered, operating and paying tax in Qianhai;
  • Business scope of the company is permitted in Qianhai;
  • The lease term is 3 years or more;
  • The lease size is 150 sqm or more (the lease size is 100 sqm or more for special subsidy).

What are the criteria for the tenants in Qianhai to apply for special subsidies?
A:
A Qianhai enterprise with Hong Kong investors who hold more than 50% equity interest may apply for special subsidy if it meets the above mentioned basic requirements and one or more of the following criteria:

  • Set up by natural person or legal person holding Certificate of Hong Kong Service Supplier;
  • One of the shareholders shall be the legal organization registered and paying tax or enjoying an exemption in Hong Kong legally with more than 3 years’ operation period;
  • One of the shareholders shall be a permanent resident in Hong Kong with more than 1 year’s business operation period after setting up in Qianhai.
