  1. Definition of Dependant's Pass

    The Dependant's Pass is a type of visa issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore, it allows eligible foreign workers who hold Employment Pass or S Pass to bring their immediate family members to reside with them in Singapore, including legally married spouse and unmarried children below 21 years of age.

  2. Eligibility Criteria for the Dependant's Pass

    (1) To be eligible for a Dependant's Pass, the main Employment Pass or S Pass holder must earn a minimum qualifying salary. The minimum fixed monthly salary for Employment Pass or S Pass holders must earn at least SGD 6,000 per month.

    (2) If the applicant is a spouse, they must be legally married to the main Employment Pass or S Pass holder.

    (3) If the applicant is a child, they must be under 21 years of age and unmarried. If your child turns 21 while on the Dependant's Pass, they will need to obtain an appropriate visa to continue staying in Singapore.

  3. Application Process

    The application process for the Singapore Dependant's Pass can be initiated by the main Employment Pass or S Pass holder's employer, who acts as the sponsor. The employer should submit the application to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) or appoint Kaizen to submit the application on behalf.

  4. Required Documents

    The following documents are required for applying for a Dependant’s Pass (DP):

    • A copy of the applicant’s passport
    • For children sharing a passport with their parents, must submit a copy of the parent’s passport

    The family member of the main Employment Pass or S Pass holders is required to submit the following additional documents:

    (1)

    Spouse (legally married)

    ·         A copy of the marriage certificate

    (2)

    Unmarried children under 21 years

    ·         A copy of the official birth certificate stating the parent’s names

    ·         Verification of Vaccination Requirements (for entry to Singapore) document issued by HPB is needed for foreign-born children who aged 12 years old and below

    (3)

    Unmarried, legally adopted children under 21 years

    ·         A copy of the adoption order or other relevant documents

    ·         Verification of Vaccination Requirements (for entry to Singapore)  document issued by HPB is needed for foreign-born children who aged 12 years old and below


  5. Privileges of Dependant's Pass Holders

    Once the Dependant's Pass is approved, the Dependant’s can enjoy several privileges:

    (1) Dependant's Pass holders can legally reside in Singapore for the duration of the main Employment Pass or S Pass holder's employment period, up to a maximum of three years for each renewal.

    (2) Eligible Dependant's Pass holders can operate a business in Singapore by obtaining a Letter of Consent (LOC) from the Ministry of Manpower.

    (3) Dependant's Pass holders can enroll in local schools or international schools and enjoy access to quality health screenings for students.
