How to apply for ARC for a newborn (including migrant worker’s)?
A:
To apply for ARC for a foreign newborn, the parent shall prepare the birth certificate, one piece of 2-inch photograph, the ARC (or APRC) from one of the legal parents, and registration fees within 30 days after birth to National Immigration Agency Service Center in your place of residency to submit a request of application to ARC. After receiving the passport, the registration of passport number should be changed jointly.

How long can foreign spouses to apply for National Health Insurance after holding ARC?
A:
Any foreign spouse is able to apply for National Health Insurance after 6 months of residency in Taiwan from the day of holding ARC.

Q:
What kinds of documents for re-fingerprinting are required after the application of ARC?
A:
An original copy of passport and ARC.

What the procedure to reside in Taiwan after the entry with Taiwan Resident Certificate is?
A: After entry in Taiwan with Taiwan Resident Visa, these foreigners shall apply for ARC and re-entry permit at National Immigration Agency Service Center in their place of residency in 15 days of entry.

Is it necessary to apply for Wok Permit for foreign spouses in Taiwanese household registration to work in Taiwan?
A: Foreign spouses in Taiwanese household registration with ARC doesn’t need to apply for the work permit, since ARC includes the legal rights of working in Taiwan.
