Q: If I have already applied for a MOEACA ID Card, how do I know if it is still valid?
A: You may check the validity by visiting “Card enquiry and download” on the Ministry of Economic Affairs Certificate Authority website. If you want to further confirm the expiration date, you can click the "Details" button to view the "End Date".

Q:
What kind of seal on the MOEACA ID Card application form does it refer to?
A:
Please use the same seal for company and business registration.
The application for branch of local company shall use seals of the company and the person-in-charge which registered with the authority.
The application for branch of foreign company shall use seals of the branch and the person-in-charge designated by the headquarter in Taiwan, which registered with the authority
If the registered seal has been lost, please register change of seal with the company or business registration authority, then complete the application process.

Q:
How does a computer read the MOEACA ID Card?
A:
The MOEACA ID Card can only be used with a card reader which need to purchase by the user.

How to check the progress of the application?
A:
Visit the homepage of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Certificate Authority and click “Card Application” placed at the top, then select “Application Progress Inquiry” on the left and enter the user code for checking.

Q:
Does a Taiwan representative office have to apply for a MOEACA ID Card?
A:
Since the representative office of a foreign company belongs to a branch without completing the registration in accordance with Taiwan Company Act, it cannot apply for a MOEACA ID Card.
