A: Yes, of course. All nationalities can become the director of the limited company except for Chinese nationality

When there is a foreign investment to setup a limited company in Taiwan, is that for possible for a foreigner to become the investment agent?
A:
Yes, but if a foreigner acts as an investment agent in Taiwan, he/she must have a residence in Taiwan and holds the Aliens Resident Certificate (ARC).

Is there any limitation on business items for a limited company setup by a foreign investment?
A:
In addition to the “Negative List for Investment by Overseas Chinese and Foreign Nationals”, there is no limitation on business items for foreign investment.

How to identify Mainland Chinese invested company?
A:
For an individual , legal person, organization or other institution from Mainland China area who directly and indirectly hold shares in a third-region company or have more than 30% in their capital contribution or have the power of control over the third-region company, they are regarded as Mainland Chinese invested company.

Q:
For the capital contribution, is that possible to use RMB as the cash contribution?
A:
No, it is impossible to make the capital contribution in RMB, only accepted in TWD.
