Q:
What is an electronic official seal? Is it the same as a physical seal?
A: The electronic official seal refers to the electronic form of the legal name seal of the foreign-invested enterprise within the scope of Beijing, the internal organization seal named after the legal name, and the special business seal (used for contract, finance, Fapiao, verification, customs declaration and other related businesses). The graphic features of the electronic seal are exactly the same as the impression of the physical seal.

How many electronic seals can foreign- invested enterprise apply for?
A:
A foreign-invested enterprise may apply for issuing one electronic seal with a legal name, and a plurality of electronic seals for the same business may be applied and distinguished by Arabic numerals.

Q:
What materials need to be provided when a foreign-invested enterprise applies for an electronic official seal?
A:
1.
Business License;
2. Power of Attorney signed by the legal representative;
3. The original and photocopy of ID card of the handler and mobile phone number;
4. Company name in foreign language if the electronic seal is to be produced with foreign language.

Q:
Under what circumstances can the electronic seal apply for replacement?
A:
If the electronic seal needs to be replaced due to change of name, legal representative and other information, or damage, the enterprise shall apply for cancellation of the original seal and produce a new one.

Q:
If electronic seal is not used any more, how to deal with it?
A:
The foreign-invested enterprise shall issue a letter of authorization and bring the ID card of the legal representative and the handler to the seal making unit to handle the suspension or cessation of the use of the electronic seal.

Q:
How to keep electronic seals?
A:
Electronic seals shall be managed in accordance with the management requirements of physical seals. The holder or custodian must keep the protection password of the electronic seal strictly confidential and revise it regularly.

Q:
What will happen if the electronic seal has not been collected after application?
A:
The electronic seals that have not been collected for more than three months shall be registered and cancelled and shall be filed with the public security organ for the record.
