Q:
How to apply for the ARC for foreign newborns in Taiwan?
A:
For foreign infants who born from Taiwan and whose parent with ARC or APRC, the parent shall submit the birth certificate, a piece of headshot in 2 inches, one of the parent’s ARC (or APRC) and the government fees to the service station at the place of residency for application.

Q:
When is the foreign spouse qualified for the application of national health insurance upon the retrieval of ARC?
A:
The foreign spouse is able to apply for the national health insurance after obtaining the ARC and staying in Taiwan more than 6 months.

Q:
How to redo the fingerprint after receiving the ARC?
A:
The original copy of passport and ARC.

Q:
What are the other procedures shall be done for residency after entering Taiwan with entry permit?
A: Foreigners with entry permit to enter Taiwan shall apply for the ARC and reentry permit at the service station at the place of residency within 15 days from the date of entry.

Q:
Is it possible for a foreign spouse with a household registration in Taiwan to apply for the work permit for working?
A: The foreign spouse with a household registration in Taiwan doesn’t have to apply for the work permit for working.
