What is the competent authority of civil association?
A:
In accordance with Civil Association Act, the central competent authority is Ministry of the Interior, municipality governed by the municipal government, and county and city governed by the county and city government.

Q:
Is it available to use the residential address of promoter as registered address?
A:
Yes, it is available upon obtaining the certificate of use (such as rental contract).

Q:
How to know if the association name is repetitive?
A:
Please visit the official website of Ministry of the Interior, enter “The Cooperative & Civil Associations Preparatory office” to search in “Associations”.

Q:
Why is not available to put sorority in the association name?
A: Social association is basically counted as Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) or Nonprofit organization (NPO), so if the name is included the words of “sorority” or “club”, it would be easier to make publics misunderstanding as profit-seeking organization, instead of nonprofit organization.

Q:
Is there any restriction on holding a preparation committee?
A: No specific regulations, but it should be held within the range of organization.
