Yes. You may take the payment bill issued by the NHI Administration to a financial institution authorized to collect NHI premiums for payment. However, the NHI Administration currently does not provide a bank remittance service for NHI premium payments.

Can NHI premiums be paid at NHI Administration service locations?

Yes. You may bring your NHI premium payment bill to the NHI Administration regional division service location and pay by credit card. In addition, the four NHI Administration regional service centers Taipei, Northern, Central, and Southern Regional Divisions have bank staff stationed on site, allowing you to pay in cash during service hours.

Can NHI premiums be paid by automatic bank account transfer?

Yes. To set up automatic payment from a bank account, complete the “Agreement for Automatic Bank Transfer Payment of NHI Premiums” and bring the bankbook, account seal, and original ID cards of both the account holder and insured person to a financial institution to arrange automatic deduction of NHI premiums.

Can NHI premiums be paid by automatic credit payment?

Yes. To set up automatic payment by credit card, contact one of the financial institutions offering this service and complete the “Agreement for Automatic Credit Card Payment of NHI Premiums.” The five participating financial institutions are Chang Hwa Commercial Bank, Taishin International Bank, First Commercial Bank, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, and CTBC Bank.

What other payment methods are available for NHI premiums?(All of the following methods are subject to service fees.)

Convenience stores: Payment is limited to a maximum of NTD 30,000 per transaction.

ATM: Use the payment bill and a chip-enabled bank card at an ATM. Follow the instructions and enter the information shown under “ATM or Online Payment Information” below the barcode on the payment bill. Service fees must be paid by the payer. Please retain the transaction receipt for your records.

Online ATM: Visit the Bank of Taiwan Online Banking website, select Online ATM, use a chip-enabled bank card, and select “Payment of Taxes and Other Fees / NHI Premiums.” Follow the instructions to complete the payment.

Mobile payment: NHI premiums may be paid using apps such as Taiwan Pay, iPASS MONEY, JKOPay, Easy Wallet, and PXPay Plus.

Online demand deposit account: For NHI premiums paid by insured units, payment may be made using the company's or responsible person's demand deposit account.

Online credit card payment: NHI premiums may be paid online by credit card. Service fees must be paid by the payer, including for late-payment surcharges and enforcement fees.
